Scientists in Scotland are starting to unravel some of the mysteries surrounding the different types and severity of disease caused by Salmonella infection in pigs, as reported by eFeedLink.
In a recent study at the famous Roslin Institute, researchers identified some of the genetic changes involved,
which could lead to improved biosecurity strategies against disease in pigs and humans. A better understanding of the
risks in this way will help in counteracting the threat, alongside existing effective measures such as including Formi in the feed.
