ADDCON Academy – the knowledge tool for learning together –

From the 17th to the 19th of July 2019 the ADDCON academy in the field of silage and feed additives for our partners from China took place in our ADDCON headquarters in Bitterfeld.

The participants were directors of several feed mills as well as some of our distributors.

On the first day we visited a cattle farm and the a state run experimental farm, where we could offer the participants a lively exchange of information and experience. Dr. Meyer, one of the speakers and representatives of the institute presented his research results in regards to the future of pig farming. Afterwards, we visited the farm and the in-house feed mill.

Then Bernd Kochannek, CEO and founder of Addcon, had welcomed the participants in the head office in Bitterfeld, where the Addcon enabled insights into the production, laboratory and quality control of ADDCON.

The technical training in silage and feed additives began on the second day of the Academy. Here, the technical directors of ADDCON presented the issues relevant for the Chinese market as well as the corresponding solutions and products.

In the afternoon, the group visited more farms and the also visited one of the largest feed mills in the region.

For the silage group, we were able to arrange a short-term visit to “Claas Gebrauchtmaschinenzentrum“, the world's largest machine dealer of its kind. Here, the group gained more insight into the latest measuring technology for the process control of silage production.

Of course, our Chinese participants were also given the opportunity to the German cuisine and beer and to visit some sights in Potsdam and in Berlin.

We are looking forward to future visits of our partners from all over the world in Bitterfeld.
